Mark Shrime speaks at CPLB

Mark Shrime , Founding Director of the Center for Global Surgery Evaluation at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear, as well as Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School, presented Hidden Figures: addressing the non-medical costs of care in low-income countries at CPLB. Shrime described the results of a randomized, controlled trial of a demand-side intervention to increase compliance among surgical patients in a low-income West African country, which gives rise to interesting questions at the population level.
