Nir Eyal’s research on human challenge trials cited in Congressional letter to HHS and FDA

A paper led by CPLB director Nir Eyal on human challenge trials for a COVID-19 vaccine served as the main piece of evidence underpinning a bipartisan letter sent by 35 members of Congress to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration.

Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL) and Congresswoman Donna Shalala (D-FL) led the writing of the letter, which urges HHS and FDA to speed up the trial and approval process for a COVID-19 vaccine.
